Graham Gooch OBE DL has been a client and brand ambassador of Advanced Hair Studio since 1996.

Amongst the most successful of his generation, Graham Gooch – former player and captain of the Essex and England cricket teams – is an ICC Cricket Hall of Fame inductee.


With an illustrious cricket career that ran from 1973 to 2000, Graham holds numerous records, awards and honours. During his cricketing career, other teams he played on included: Western Province and Marylebone Cricket Club. He was Essex captain from 1986 to 1987 and 1989 to 1994.


Well known for his right-hand batting power, Graham was also had a right-arm medium paced bowling style. Notoriously equipped with an extremely heavy bat, Graham was known for his ability to belt the cricket ball around. He achieved the most Test runs for England and is just one of a handful of players who can say they have made over 100 first-class centuries.


Throughout his career, Graham won Wisden Cricketer of the Year (1980); Indian Cricketer of the Year (1988); and, Professional Cricketers’ Association Player of the Year (1990). Since 2009, Graham has been the batting coach for the English cricket team.
